INSPIRED TO ::
- swing a little. or swing a lot!
- allow time for fun.
- don’t take design so seriously. Make room for playfulness.
- don’t spend so much time on the computer. GET OUTSIDE. swing a little.
- enjoy those boys on their swings. Listen to their happy chatter.
- watch the birds in the trees while swinging.
- install a swing in the boys’ loft-like bedroom.
- teach the boys how to leap off of a swing.
- try to touch the clouds with my toes.
- be alive. live the thing.
So. What does this picture inspire you to do/feel/create/think…… I would love to know!

Sweet… So relaxing. We have a swing in the “Talking Tree” out front, which is where we tend to have our biggest conversations here at the farm. We also have a big, wide hammock perfect for reading, napping, or smooching. So we do lots of swinging like thins. I think it;s beautiful, xoxo I bet you’re thinking of pushing a little girl in a swing soon! : ))
I love this! Isn’t it funny how swinging and touching the sky with your toes makes you feel so alive?? I am inspired to add a tire swing to our new backyard.
I inspires me to (like you wrote) be alive. live the thing, because the photo reminds me of our family friend who was murdered in a random home invasion. His last Christmas card was of him sitting on a swing in a beautiful large single tree on a hill. It looked like he was flying away!
so so sorry about your friend, julia! I just love the story that you share here. big hug!
