I am an Italia-phile.
I am 50% Italian by blood, but, people, I can relate to this funny pic with 100% of every fiber of my being:
Just be thankful you are not my calm German husband who has to deal with my hot and cold roller-coasters!

I have been to Italy 3 times. Once, when I was 14, on a whirlwind tour. The next time I saw Italy from the eyes of a backpacking, hostel-staying 21 year old. My last visit was 10 years ago, with my love, for our 5 year anniversary. Italy is in my blood.
Everyone has something in their life that sparks such dreams and overwhelming passion and yearning. For me, that is Italia.
Italy is the art of man, colliding with the art of God. Italy is the essence of Living with Beauty. And each art-creation I personally create on this earth… every painting, every room, every design… each of them has a piece of Italia in it.
These days, like I do regularly, I am dreaming of when I will get to return again.
Won’t you dream with me and be inspired? {don’t miss the free printable at the end}:
There is a beautiful Italian saying that I adore. I adore it so much, I decided it needed its own pretty little graphic so we can print it out!

So so beautiful!!! I have only recently discovered, through pictures, how much I love Italy! I would love to visit there someday, particularly the Amalfi coast!
I,too,am half Italian. Hope to make it to Italy!
beatiful pictures and I love the printable too!! My dream is to go to Italy someday. I love everything about your culture, I even got the Rosetta Stone to learn the language but I need to do it again and practice.
By the way I love your house foyer, I’d been busy to comment. I have in my arms my one month old baby girl 🙂
I’m Italian and from NJ. I can definitely NOT keep calm. 🙂
Thank you Darlene for the lovely photos. My father was Italian American and I, too, have a wonderful German husband. I’ve been twice to Italy with my best friend back when we were in our 20s. We often remember the unbelievable time we had and wish we could just hop back to Capri for a quick cappuccino before our kids get home! I also am not calm!
