Grab some skinny jeans. {mine are designer jeans, because I swear by them and think they are the only ONLY clothing item that is worth the splurge}
Throw on some flow, with a flowing top. {mine is from Guess outlet}
Cinch it up with a favorite belt. {mine is Anthropologie}
Toss on a chunky, fun necklace. I happen to be a sucker for gold. {mine is from Walmart}
and, although my son chopped them out of the picture, I was wearing high, heeled booties with this outfit – which looked cute. you’ll have to trust me. {smile}
{earrings: Target. bracelets: street fair}
Do you have a blousy, flowing top? Try reining it in with a belt that cinches, and accentuate your girlish curves.
Would you Rock this Look?

aw, thanks, lindsey!! and I truly did crack myself up that, as I was perusing your pics to check out your outfits… my mind quickly wandered off to home stuff! : )
adorable as always!
Thank you, sweet Amy!
I had to look twice…the necklace was from Walmart…I really like the link look and you look beautiful.
my favorite necklace!! It gets even better because I got it for free at a white elephant gift exchange. Some guy got this necklace with walmart tags…. and I practically karate chopped him to give it to me. He, of course, did not hesitate. SCORE!
Love your outfit, Darlene! I agree with you about designer jeans. When you figure the cost per wear, it makes it easier to justify. Which jeans are your fav? Can’t believe that necklace came from Walmart!
Thanks, Susan! I wear True Religion jeans, but that is just bc those fit my body best. I also have a pair of Joe’s I like. But each brand is different for each body… so I kind of think that you need to “go in deep,” and spend an entire DAY trying on lots of different brands to find “yours.” It is a pain. Literally and figuratively. And don’t go when you are hormonal. hahaha!
Vavoom! I hope Mr. FHD got to take advantage of such a beautiful opportunity.
Yes, totally agree on the jeans. Lately I’m liking Joe’s and AG, but I HATE the trying on process. I gots real problems when I complain about spending all day to shop for spendy jeans.
Okay, going back to count my blessings. 🙂
oh, no. I don’t think there is a woman on earth who would say they love trying on jeans.
well, maybe there are some…. but I cannot relate!
You make me smile, as always!!!!!
So pretty! I am totally swooning the belt especially. 🙂
Love the nuetral colors, chunky belt and chunky necklace. 🙂 Yes, to the flowing tops w/ big belts. I just did that for my ‘after pic’ on Monday’s post and it definitely helped show my weight loss.
