You all know that I am a self-professed non-DIY-er.
All that aside, I am willing to dive into a DIY project IF:
1. I think the end result will end up looking like a high-end stylish piece, AND
2. The project is simple {or at least worth any effort needed!}
In that spirit, I am amassing an awesome collection of DIY projects on my Pinterest board: DIY’s worth doing.
Today, I thought I would share with you a roundup of DIY lighting projects and inspiration. To get to the DIY instructions: Click on the link beneath each picture, and that will take you to the Pin. Once on the Pin, click on the link in the upper right hand, or click right on the picture, and it will take you to the original post on the project.
Lighting can be so expensive: especially if you love haute couture pieces. These DIY lighting projects may just be worth doing.

Totally inspired! Thanks for the great roundup!
I LOVE light fixtures and think that one done on the big ball is AWESOME! I also like the next one – looks like a wire basket?? I think I could think up things like that on my own if I wasn’t so consumed in other stuff. I already have too much to think on. ha!
Love,
Lynnette
Who’d have thought that paint stir sticks could be so attractive!
I love the Capiz Shell and the wire basket lighting. Very interesting all! I agree completely with your DIY philosophy Darlene! Ha!

Thanks for sharing my project! The leather looking shell shade is super easy. You and I share the same criteria for attempting DIY projects. All the best!
You are welcome Emily! Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. How fun to meet the face behind such a glam/easy project!!! Stop by Fieldstone Hill any time!
I really love the twine and ball lighting and also the one with doilies. I would love to try one of these.

So many great ideas. The doilies chandelier looks great.
I’m so excited to check out your Pinterest board. I love the lace ball light; I’ve seen a tutorial for that and I’m tempted…..so pretty!
Thanks for sharing the photo of my lamps…high gloss finish. One of my favorite projects to date! 🙂 Janell
