Pin-spiration :: O’er the land of the free
Wednesday, July 4, 2012 by {darlene}

I love this country.

Happy Birthday America. Is there anything as inspiring as the greatest gift you bring?

Freedom.

The lesser-known fourth verse {my favorite} of the Star Spangled Banner, the national anthem of the United States of America:

“O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war’s desolation.
Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the Heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!”

A few images of Red, White, and Blue. None of which can capture an ounce of the American Spirit:

There is something feisty and rebellious about the 4th of July.
And about the American Spirit.

Freedom IS a bit feisty, after all.

Well, then.
I guess I fit right in.

If you are an American reading this post, what makes you a feisty American??
