I am still in Russia Recovery mode. I think today calls for a sweet and simple GORGEOUS room, no??
Before I dive in, I wanted to thank some of my blog besties for sharing some FHD love! Thank you to Miss Nester for sharing FHD in her Weekend Links. Thanks to my sweet girl Edie for the shout out – you really MUST go see her finished Master Bedroom. And Thanks to Angela of TPH for her kind love and for out-ing me as a hookie player! Truly. What did this girl do to have some of the most amazing friends in blogland??
FHD’s “ A Room I Love” series….just a simple hello, from me to you, featuring a Room that I Love, and a quick list of why I love it. Do you love it?:
{design by Cynthia Frank, via Elle Decor, photo by Simon Watson}
WHAT I LOVE:
1. the triple purpose of this space: office, guest room and sitting nook.
2. that lucite floor lamp!
3. varying shades of soft gray.
4. ceiling to floor drapes in a warm vanilla, contrasts the cooler tones throughout.
5. modern art.
6. the symmetrical mirrored consoles flanking the daybed.
7. great geometrics. three different, bold navy prints: the floor, the chair, the pillow.
8. fuchsia flowers. once again, they make a room come alive!
9. good bolster pillows always make me smile.
10. the height achieved by the flowering branches.
DO YOU LOVE IT?? WHAT DO YOU LOVE? DO TELL!!!!!!

I love the offset round table… I would never think to do that. Also, those tall branches; I would have assumed that would be “too much” for the slim table against the wall, but it is perfect! Thanks for challenging us to examine why a room works 🙂
I like the painting a lot. I’ve been meaning to paint something HUGE (48×60 sort of huge) for the big wall in my living room and I’m leaning toward abstract modern because I tend to relax and enjoy that more.
Perfection–love it all!
Magnificent room!…love the desk..perfect for that room!
Being outed is the price you have to pay for stealing half of my coconut cake.
(I emailed another pair of earring you pinned to my hubby…in hopes!)
I thought you were able to go when I saw all the guest posts! Hope it was wonderful and youw ere well stocked with pocket kleenex!! 🙂 Love the room- we’ve been enjoying the base library and I’d love to curl up in front of that window and just read!!
It’s beautiful, but I’d be afraid of someone running into the corner of that desk in the dark! 🙂
Can you tell me where I could purchase the daybed in this photo
