need a vaca and a show house?
Thursday, August 2, 2012 by {darlene}

Okay, so you all know how much I adore my bloggy bud, Angela. You know how I gush about her MAD art skills…. skills that she even passes on to her wee offspring.

Today, I reluctantly share {because I am selfish about my vacation spots. So sue me. If I have ever told you about my favorite spot in Italy… well, consider yourself a VERY close friend indeed! Don’t ask me, either. I will deny you.}…. ahem…. I reluctantly share that she also renovated the most gorgeous cabin in the mountains that is also a rental. Good gracious. Check it:

Oh wait. That is not the cabin. But HOW could I resist posting that view first??

That {above} is one of the views from this amazing little gem in the mountains of NC {below}:

Just don’t try to rent it on my weekends, m’kay?

So, I have to tell you about the most fun thing that Angela {cute-stuff/stylish-rebel/talented-beauty extraordinaire} and the very talented interior designer Shannon Berry put together. Do you remember me gushing about Shannon in this post? Yes, she has skills.

Well. Angela and Shannon put their crazy-creative minds together, and created a Showhouse/Shopping package. Spend one day visiting the Cashiers Showhouse, and on your next day, shop! Shannon created a list of must-see antique and vintage shops – and these are her stomping grounds, so I know the list will have some great spots! The special pricing for the cottage is available for August 17-Sept.2. Clickie over here for the Cottage website and to find out all of the details.

Wouldn’t it be so much fun to get together a bunch of girlfriends, road-trip it, shop the best antique stores, visit the showhouse, and stay here?:

sigh. didn’t I JUST get back from vacation?

p.s. Angela. I have my calendar. Book me for a zillion weekends. okay?

p.p.s. This is not a sponsored post. Nope. I just am hoping Angela will let me stay at the Cottage a lot.

p.p.p.s. I stole every single one of those pics off of the TPH blog. Oh, yes, I did.

p.p.p.p.s. If you get to go to the Cottage and Cashiers and antiquing in the NC mountains…. I am jealous.

Sooo… Do you need a vaca? Have you ever been to a showhouse? What is your favorite thing about show-house-ing?
