This year, for the first time ever I think, I was on the ball for ordering my Christmas cards. And can I tell you how excited I am? Maybe. Just maybe, I won’t be up until 1 in the morning the week or so before Christmas, frantically filling out our holiday greetings to send to friends!!
It feels wonderful! I totally recommend that you get on the ball this year.
And now, since I am semi-organized, you will all get a glimpse at our Christmas cards – which are simply amazing! Hands down, these are the most beautiful Christmas cards I have ever seen, and I am SUPER excited to know about this company:
Minted is a stationery and paperie company {they sell invitations of all kinds, any kind of Wedding paperie you could think of, holiday cards, business cards, and even art prints}. But not just ANY stationery company. The designers for Minted are handpicked design artists from 43 COUNTRIES around the world!! That means that Minted gives support to creative artists across the globe. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that!!
{If you are a big nerd about your love for small-business artists, like moi, you will love reading Minted’s About Us page}
There is nothing boring or run of the mill about their designs. And I wish you could feel them. Solid as a rock, I tell ya. Maybe my pics will at least give you a glimpse of how quality these cards are:
One of my favorite Minted Cards feature is their option to personalize the back. We had lots of fun thinking about our year’s highlights {forgive me for erasing family names. Our nephew actually DOES have a name}. I love that this is a quick way to share little family details and connect with friends that we don’t get to see as much as we would like:
Don’t you love them?
What would happen if you actually got on the ball and ordered your Christmas cards in a timely fashion this year??? Shocking. I know.

Definitely! I’ll have to check out this company. I love the highlights section on your card; that is so fun! Way to go getting it done so early!!
Love the uniqueness of the cards. Thanks for sharing!
I love the backs! We don’t do holiday cards. When we were first married we handmade all our cards. Individually. And then wrote a personal note on each one. We started our list with 50, began production in September, and mailed them the second week of December. As our list grew, our ability diminished and then we moved out of the US so that we couldn’t afford the postage either. And that was the end of our holiday card extravaganza.
My calligraphy hand no longer aches at the Thanksgiving table, I never have to do a last-minute rush order from Dick Blick for hot press watercolor paper, and I never find myself nauseated from stamp-licking anymore. Somehow, though, I feel like I’ve lost something.
Maybe photo cards are in our future?
You know, I DO love the tradition of photo cards, simply because we have lived in 4 states. We have dear friends that we don’t get to see much, and when we get their photos, it is equal to a Christmas gift…. or better! With the kids, it is also the perfect excuse to stay current with our photographer and capture these fleeting days.
It can be a hassle, but I try to keep it simple, by only ordering flat cards that I don’t have to sign, including a printed message, and then by using an embosser to add the return address {my hubby and kids do that part! ha!}. Each year, I swear I am going to enter all of my friends’ addresses into a label program…..
I’m super impressed. I’m barely even thinking about Christmas cards.
Can I just use your beautiful card? Think people would notice that it wasn’t our family–just photoshop a girl and two cats on there? 🙂
I love the back detail!
