Joy to the World
The Lord is Come
Let Earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And Heaven and Nature Sing.
If I could send each of you a Christmas card, that is exactly what I would do! So, here is a card, from our home to yours. May you and your families have the merriest and most blessed of Christmases.
{last Christmas, our family started a new tradition. I thought you might want to know about it: On Christmas morning, we sit together and read through this amazing book, photographed by my cousin Jonas Bendiksen. Then we reflect on our many blessings, and how we have so much… when so many have so little. Then, we pour through the Gifts of Compassion Catalog, the World Vision Catalog, and the Samaritan’s Purse Catalog. As a family, we decide which gifts we will offer to Jesus this year, “for His birthday.” Our boys delight in this giving… as we delight in our children being “cheerful givers.” Thank you to Ann Voskamp, for inspiring our family to participate in this amazing gift. A gift we give, that gives to us in ways eternal and always.}
Merry Christmas Darlene!!
