Lately, my days are beautiful. Sometimes even blog-worthy. All have been family-filled. Even so, I have been quiet here on the blog, and missing you all.
Life has been moving at a wild pace, with my boys getting bigger, homeschool getting more demanding – especially with a cute two year old in tow. But I am right where I want and need to be. For that, I am so thankful. I hope you will connect with me on Instagram @fieldstonehill. It is such a good and speedy way for this momma to share inspiration, style, design, travel goodies, and a pic or two of my darling family with you!
And I am still Pinning wildly as ever. Thank you to all my 36k Pinterest followers ( Apparently, I am not alone in my addiction!!!) who also adore gorgeous design, wellness, clean eating, and living with beauty in all areas of life.
Stay posted here for some awesome things this Fall:
What’s new here at Fieldstone Hill Design? Well, slowly but surely I am working on a new blog design with my talented friend Heather. I am so excited. It is going to be fresh and magazine styled. I know you will love it!
This Wednesday, I am thrilled to head out to New York City for the Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker event! Follow us on social media using the hashtag #bhgstyle. Have you read the September BHG Stylemaker issue yet? It is chock full of goodness. I am sure to return with fresh inspiration. I am especially excited to see my fun, kind-hearted and talented friend Eddie Ross. {Do you have his book yet?? AMAZE-BALLS!}. Can’t wait! I will be updating my Instagram regularly from NYC.
Also, slowly but surely, I am working with a favorite (and extremely patient) client on a bathroom/workroom space. I still have requests pouring in for design boards, but for the time being, I have had to take a little break from new design boards. I look forward to when I can jump back in… but for now, I have had to choose between picking out sofas for new clients or keeping up with my own household with devoted attention. This season is brief – that I have already figured out. Some of my talent outlets will have to wait.
I am still diligently working on our kitchen, but since our contractor got a bit delayed, I pushed him out to March so that I would not have to go kitchen-less in the middle of our homeschool season. I would lose my ever-loving mind. So… March is when walls should start coming down. Starting with a 3 foot thick, load-bearing stone wall from the 1820’s. EEK! Can you say DUST!! So no current renovation pics this fall, but I will keep you posted as I continue to choose things for the kitchen. You can see more in my posts and on my Kitchen Inspiration Pinterest board.
My blog sponsor is still my Young Living {thank you for checking it out!}. I hope you will give these ‘crazy oils’ a fair shake, and not just bc they support this here Style and Interiors blog. They are so well loved that I no longer have to worry about blog sponsorship, and can take less and less sponsored posts (sharing only the ones I REALLY want to share). I am thankful for that, but most of all, I still just love my oils. My friend Edie wrote an EXCELLENT post {Essential Oils and 3 Reasons Why I’m still Head over Heels} about her mutual love for these babies, and I couldn’t agree more.
But, really, most of what I have been up to has been….
Mothering.
Caring for my precious 3, for my precious few years. I am in-deep with this mothering biz: ignoring potentially amazing professional pursuits, and not apologizing for it, or pretending I can do it all.
Thank you for loving me anyway. I knew I liked you. xoxoxo

Dar, we literally wrote the same post today. Well, different… but the same. Mother those babies now. The clients can wait. Have a wonderful time in NYC! XOXOXOXO!
Darlene–they are beautiful! I’m right there with you, enjoying my tiny (four) littles and aware of how fleeting this blessed season is. I agree–all the professional opportunities will be there later, but tiny people will not! blessings to you and yours! (and I’m still enjoying the gorgeous rooms you designed for us)
