It’s A Girl!
…I am in complete shock.
This momma has been a boy-mom for almost 8 years.
My reaction, over and again, at the ultrasound was, “Are you SURE?” The experienced tech assured me, “Yes. It’s a Girl.”
We are ecstatically thankful for our baby girl. for a healthy ultrasound. And for news that will change our family forever.
PEOPLE:
It is TIME to break out the FUCHSIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awww, congratulations! π
YIPPEE!! I had 2 girls before our first boy, so I can relate to the shock of actually having the opposite sex after being so accustomed to birthing only one π So happy for you!! Looking forward to even more fuchsia!! I agree with Suzi’s comment about having a friend for the rest of your life. My oldest girls are now 18 and 16 and are such a blessing.
Congratulations! Wonderful news!
thanking God with you for a healthy little GIRL growing in there!!!! I have a boy and then 3 girls followed…since we never found out what we were having, it was ALWAYS a shock since my hubby came from a family with 4 boys, his brother had 3 boys and other brother had 2 boys!!!!
It’s a blessing either way, but, oh yeah….break out the pink!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! So exciting to break out the fuchsia now! We have 3 boys & our youngest is a girl so you can imagine how much I loved introducing a little {or maybe a lot!} of PINK into our family! xoxo
I am sooo happy and excited for you! I have 3 boys (2 in college and 1 soon to be in K) and we just found out we are pregnant. Looking forward to knowing what this little peanut will be. Congrats!!
I’ve been looking forward to this news! So very happy for you. I LOVE LOVE being a Girl-Mom! And I look forward to future posts on this new world of decor for Fieldstone Hill!
YaHOOOO!!!!!! From personal experience, 2 boys and a little girl tie everything together! God Bless you and your family Darlene! So Fuchsia huh? I’d stick with orange!!!! G
Congratulations! I saw all your girl pictures on Pinterest last night and wondered if that was the reason why. π I hope you do lots of baby posts, because I have a house full of teens and pre-teens and I need a baby fix!
Congratulations.
I am pretty sure that Fuschia was one of my name suggestions for your daughter, remember?
Yes, Sheila, I agree–she should name the GIRL (squeeeeeeeeeeeeel) Fuchsia! π
Soooooooo happy for you, Dar. And, those pigtail buns up top just kill me.
So excited for you. As the mother of 2 boys, I have wished that I also had a girl. You will love it, I do have a granddaughter and that fills the void. Congratulations! Let the fun begin!
SQUEALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, girl, you are going to have so much fun! And it’ll take a nanosecond for your husband to be wrapped around her little finger…be prepared to fall in love with him all over again! π
Yay! I knew it would be a girl! Many congratulations!
Xx
Oh, yay! So exciting to change it up a bit. π I love all the pins. Can’t wait to see how you decorate a nursery!
How fun! Congratulations you’re in for some new wonderful adventures.
Woot Woot! Oh how delightfully sweet!
Yea!!!! I saw your little hint of pink on Instagram and was so excited! Having a little girl is so much fun! I just love it!!!
How fun! I have seven daughters, and watching them grow up has been just a hoot and a half. They giggle and borrow my jewelry and paint my toes when I’m too pregnant to reach my feet. They keep me up late wanting to talk (sometimes my husband comes out at two a.m. to ask why on earth we are brewing MORE tea at that hour) and insist on staying up until midnight to see ALL SIX HOURS of Pride and Prejudice. A ton of fun and sweetness and pink.
CONGRATULATIONS!
So exciting!!! Cannot wait to for the designing to start- what a lucky little girl:)
It would be a crime against fashion and all things fabulous if you didn’t have a girl!! Not that boys can’t be fashionable and fabulous, but you will have SO.MUCH.FUN! Congrats!
Two boys and a girl — she will shake things up! Good luck on fuschia. Our daughter told me after decorating her room in shades of pink and green, mom, I really don’t like pink. Really? And she chose it ahead of time.
Congratulations!!! I love having girls!!! (I have 4, plus 1 son) What fun you are going to have!!!
Congratulations! How exciting!!
Ahhh that is so awesome!!! Congrats!!! My husband and I always joke that even if we had ten more kids, we’d never get a girl. π What a blessing! Xo
How fun! So excited for you. As a new momma to a baby girl, I just have to say break out the hair bows and adorable shoes! I love every minute of it. Are you going to share her name?
Woohoo!! I’m 9 months pregnant today (yes, today is my due date, for what THAT’s worth) with a baby girl. I’m getting quite excited to meet her. She’s our first, so it’s not the same as going from boy-mom to both-mom. But still. I’m so excited for you!
LOVE IT!!! My #3 was a girl – it throws you into a frilly pink sparkling tailspin that you never want to come out of. And watching the boys with their sister is the best. Congratulations!
[…] all shared in the very exciting news as I anxiously awaited meeting my sweet baby β¦ It’s a Girl!! That was SUCH a fun […]
