I am taking a chance today. And, as always, I hope you love it.
Today, I am going to start a new category of posts that share a completely different side of me and my passions – not just my passion for decor, but my overall passion for “living with beauty,” and what that means to me.
From time to time, here on Fieldstone Hill, I will be sharing some “Living with Beauty” posts that cover the following:
Fashion
Whole Food Recipes
Makeup
and
Taking care of ourselves
Basically, these posts will be born out of what I actually do in my own life, and the approach to beautiful living that I try to walk daily.
And like everything else on this blog, there will always be elements of both the practical AND the glamorous.
I have no desire to change the overall feel of Fieldstone Hill Design. This is an interiors and style blog, and that will not change. That is the vision I have for this here humble blog, so interiors and style it shall remain.
But the fact of the matter is, there is much more to life than interior design. There is so much more to STYLE than interior design. And there is much more to ME than design. I have a desire to be authentic in this corner of the blogosphere, and I am excited about sharing other areas of my life with you, even if it is in snippets.
I think that “Living with Beauty” really means:
living intentionally, living by design, living with vision, living with healthy choices, and living with an awareness of our place in this world.I am excited to get started. How about you??
Oh, that’s exciting! Will your family be posting? I mean, because you’re beautiful and they live with YOU? 😉
I don’t wear makeup, and my fashion is half hippie, half surfer complete with beach hair, so I’m about as far from glamorous as you can get. But I do love how stunning I feel when I work out, eat well, and take some time to paint, make some music, and walk in the woods: so I guess I love beauty, too!
I always love your thoughts, gyen! From what you describe, you definitely love beauty!!
I always love makeup tips and recipes, too. I look forward to this!
Thank you for the encouragement, Kathy!

Thank you, buffalo gal! Agreed!
You are so right….we gain our sense of style and what is beautiful when we live it in every facet of our lives. For years I didn’t put the two together so when I tool a chance and did something that really spoke to me style wise be it design, fashion or general living, it felt fake or contrived. So I would pull back and then I felt frustrated. I have just begun to see that when I implement my style into every area of my life it comes across as fluid and natural and who I really am. It makes living with style fun, not a chore! Can’t wait for your posts!
what a great comment! Thanks for these thoughts, Jenny!
You go girl!!!
I am SO thankful for your friendship, Sheila!

Your plan sounds fabulous. I can’t wait!
Exciting! Beauty is nourishing to people, plain and simple. It’s much more than vanity, and I feel like you have a grip on it. Such a fun idea!! xoxo Can’t wait!
