Reminder: the June {ditto} DIY challenge:
{ditto} DIY
This month’s Inspiration, selected by our interior designer:
Gold!! A beautiful display featuring gilded animal bookends and a brass shell bowl. Art and design by Samantha Reitmayer Sano of Style/Swoon.
The {ditto} DIY Challenge:
Gild something, or paint it gold! Then use it in a lovely display.
Designer Thoughts:
“Gold and brass are not only back, they have been back for a while and are making their marks on the world of haute design. To add even a little touch of gold into your home, consider a brass animal for display, gold bookends, or creative gold paperweights. But don’t let that box you in… the challenge is: Gild something… gild anything! Use it in a display… then share it with us“
{ALL the Details on this coming month’s challenge and link up {so you can get cracking!} can be found HERE! Mark your calendars for Monday June 3rd!}

Fun!! Yes I think I’ll play along with this challenge. I remember feeling so happy months ago when you first posted that furniture gilding tutorial. Gold was a big part of home style when I was a little girl, and I love that it’s a happy element again, not dated. LOL Been scouring the farm for worthy subjects for this fun project. Thanks Darlene!
Such perfect timing! I’m all set to do some gold-leafing this weekend. 🙂 Fun inspiration pieces.
Hooray! I just got my cocktail tables put together and purchased gold spray paint the other day!
So honored to be included in such a wonderful list of gold goodness! 🙂
Oh boy, I’ve been working! DIY is quite the challenge for me, and tomorrow is really my last night to finish this project. Agh!! And I’m feeling a little unsure of my idea after seeing your inspiration photos. However! This challenge has seriously gotten me in gear, and I’m so thankful for that.
Oh, don’t be unsure!!!! These are just meant to inspire!! The smallest to the most complicated project is welcome! The point of this is to add just a bit more beauty and design to our homes in simple ways. I know you are going to rock it, Christie!!!
