First of all, thank you Darlene, for this wonderful experience!! I so enjoyed discovering what appealed to me in areas I hadn’t thought of, e.g., fabric and architecture. This was so valuable for me. However, when it comes down to choosing a space that is so ME, I ran into a problem. I’m either light walls and airy furniture like my enclosed porch with pops of color, or warm cozy rooms. So I went with a warm cozy room since the winter is closing in on us up here in New England!!

This is ME because: warm, inviting, cozy, deep wood tones, incredible drapes!, textures, wonderful molding, and a chandelier to die for!! Would love to be able to hang one over my coffee table but my ceilings are too low! But one can dream!
Again, thanks for a great series. I always love how you educate your readers as well as show your talents in decorating!!
Sorry for being so late with this – life got in the way. Love the room you chose. The block look walls and the two toned curtains, make the room look very spacious.
I ended up choosing a space, rather than a room. It’s something that I could incorporate in my house, if I remove the storage room under our stairs. I’d have to work something else out for storage, but with this space the idea is quite appealing.
I love the private area and can envision my rocking chair, a small table and lamp there, along with a silk plant (no window).

i chose to use your room. i am not attracted to it because of the texture or items or composition. i am attracted to this room because the colors make me feel calm and grounded. you have a great website
