31 Days of Favorite Spaces: Day 9
{part of the 31 Days Challenge}
I just had to pick a glam bedroom today. It is our 15 year anniversary today! Our bedroom is a refuge for us, so it seemed fitting. Happy Anniversary to THE most wonderful man that I know. I am pretty dang lucky, folks. Words always fail when I try to describe my guy…. Love you, honey.

The Sciolari ceiling light. Hello Hollywood Regency perfection.// The dreamy, contrasting color scheme. Purples, pinks and oranges, OH MY!// The fantastico wallpaper. I love wallpaper in a bedroom. It cozies things up and makes the bedroom come alive.// GOLD!!!// Once again, art is the main event.//

When picking your own space, be sure to reflect:
What elements of this space can I bring into my own home?
What is it about this space that truly makes me fall in love and sets it apart from other spaces like it?
How does this space make me feel, and how can I bring that feeling into my own home?
What are the little details in this space that truly make it fabulous?

Love this 31 day challenge. Thanks, Darlene.

I’m seeing a pattern here…tranquil, blues, “oceany”. Love the french doors to an outside retreat. Most of all, the unexpected use of orange as a pop of color!
I’m falling behind in posting these….I get so caught up seeing so many new designs that I love. Then I can’t decide which one is a favorite. Need to work on narrowing my loves or I won’t be able to decorate the new home we are moving to next month.
For today, this is my favorite colorful, glam bedroom. I love some drama with my glam and I think this one does it for me.

Not sure why, but in every house I’ve ever lived my bedroom is the last space I decorate…I need to change that!
Hope you had a wonderful anniversary, as I’m sure you did.
My dream, glam bedroom is a fantasy of muted, soft colours, flowing drapes and down comforter. My inspiration is The Lord of The Rings because of the gorgeous scenery and colours. I’m more inclined toward the earthy, muted tones because I find them relaxing.
I couldn’t find a total room that I liked but I did find elements that I like. The bedding I’ll not likely have but perhaps will find something close. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/319966748500909369/
The drapes I’d like http://www.pinterest.com/pin/319966748500783891/
I’d like this over the bed or perhaps a repetition of the drapes. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/319966748500866314/
This would be an awesome chandelier – perhaps a little smaller. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/319966748500772637/
Rustic furnishings, unmatched nightstands and walls with washes of gray tones with a little pastel here and there. These elements would make for a perfect retreat to me.
