A Favorite Relaxed Dining Room:

My Because:
That table!// Those chairs. Divine and comfy and relaxed// a POW rug that would hide my Grandma’s tomato sauce// moody and huge art// glam with the chandy// the powerful contrast of a dark charcoal wall// An empty table.. leaves space to breathe, but is ready for a feast//

Beautiful!!
Darlene…this dining room: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/284500901429865178/ is a favorite of mine. It’s relaxed and the best part…the stepped up fireplace hearth nearby. I love the potential for all kinds of entertaining and holidays.
Beautiful dining room, Darlene. The one I found is cheerful and relaxing. I love the panel on the white and yellow wall. The large floral pattern on the chair cushions mimics the large cheerful, sunflower on the wall. I like the idea of the 3/4 shutters on the windows, so that when they’re closed, the light can still come in through the top and the bench seat at the window is a lovely, relaxing touch.
I could bring the colour, the wainscotting, a fabric and the sunflower into my space, but sadly not the window seat.

Love the rug; the upholstered chairs that make you want to sit all night and talk, the table, the crisp white trim, the simple window treatment, the stack of books on the floor! Lots of uses for this room besides dining.
Looking through my Pinterest boards I noticed that all my dining area were right beside the kitchen. I love an open floor plan and I’m not really into defined, closed, formal spaces. This is bright and airy and can be multifunctional. It makes dining part of the heart of the home and everyone a member of the family. Plus, how col are these chairs? It also looks like the table is floating. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/65161525828434541/
