How was your weekend?
1. Yesterday I frolicked around the house singing “Deck the Halls with boughs of Holly,”… as I did just that. {Pictures of our home decorated for Christmas are soon to come… lots of Holly and decorating with just-two-things}.
2. We had a Christmas party this past weekend and now family coming to town this week to kick off Christmas weekend number one {anyone else do this?}.
3. We have also been in high gear errand-running-mode, as our family has two big surgeries scheduled for next week. Can I be so bold as to ask you to pray for my husband and my Dad? My heart will be clinging to this verse next week:
“Do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
Thank you so much, treasured friends!
For today’s ditto, I could not resist this space, featured in a Holiday Home tour of designer Meredith Heron done by HGTV of Canada. I think you will love it too! And I can’t wait to hear:
What would YOU ditto?
DITTO :: {WHAT I WOULD STEAL FROM THIS SPACE}:
- festive but simple and understated Christmas decor. vanilla candles. a sprinkle of ornaments. roses. a bay leaf wreath, tied up with satin ribbon.
- a color palette of blues and corals. oh, how I love this combo. I even did a post about it – thanks, grandma.
- a sitting area right in the window nook. Sitting nooks are a must have in my book. Perfect for a quiet moment with a warm drink, and even better if a loved one joins you. This nook is so perfect since it is filled with light. For a collection of more of my favorite sitting nook inspiration, click here.
- drapes that take center stage, in an ethnic print. I love ceiling to floor drapes {see more here}. This fabric, featuring an ethnic slate-colored medallion, works so beautifully with the room’s combination of solid fabrics in blue and bolder prints in coral.
- gold, pagoda chandelier and blown glass chandelier. Yes, please.
- a fluffy, slate colored mongolian lamb pillow {faux? I don’t know.}. Everyone needs a mongolian lamp pillow that is dyed to match their color palette. Oh, yes. Ditto.
- lucite coffee tables adding a mod twist to a room with traditional lines. Ah, the pure and simple power of contrast. Contrast: it makes the world a more beautiful place, no?
WEIGH IN. SO, WHAT WOULD YOU DITTO {STEAL} FROM THIS SPACE??
WHAT WOULD YOU DITTO, 1-7? OR SOMETHING ELSE?
I LOVE HEARING YOUR THOUGHTS!

I love this space and the cozy, eclectic feel here. BTW, Is. 41:10 is a verse that is very special to me. Will be praying for your family during this time!
So pretty. I really love the circle of candles on the table – simple and elegant. Sending prayers your way.
You are in my prayers. Lean into and on God’s love.
