It’s that “Casual Family Rooms” Time of Year….
Fall air is setting in.
Time to turn our hearts inward toward the hearth. Time to snuggle on the couch with the family on early darkening nights. Time to pull out the blankets and throws and make tea.
This time of year, the Family Room makes a major comeback.
Be inspired by this fantastic lineup of Casual {yet still classy} Family Rooms:

Wow, so much in these! I would ditto that whisper off blue in the all neutral kitchen/family room w/the 2 Corgis, The pewter ware on the fireplace mantel, the GORGEOUS bronze, shiny chandelier/fixture on the open beam ceiling, the white splayed giraffe in the contemporary setting, the Striped chairs in the last design board. I tied up between 2 being my favorite…the Room with the limed knotty pine tongue and groove because of the juxtaposition of the country checks and paneling with the leopard print and nailheads along with all that yummy texture of the ladder, flooring & wicker OR the second to last design board because I love the neutral color scheme with hits of olive green, the horse, clock, Board & batten and the weight/color of the draperies.
girl!! you are an awesome ditto-ing ninja!!!!!
Nice! The best feelings I gather here are the different gallery walls, the L-shaped sectionals (very very cozy for people who like each other! LOL) and the different cushy ottomans. Those elements are all luxurious and comfortable looking and totally adaptable.
OH MAN I would love for you to dream up a design board for a few of my trouble rooms!! xoxo
Super talented you are.
Thanks for the great photos!
aw, thanks, marie!!!
Dying over that yellow and navy!
Gorgeous rooms Darlene:)
Have a great weekend!
x
thanks, anna!! navy and yellow gets me every time, too!
I love the room where to doors open out to the yard. It looks so open! I bet the outdoor area is amazing too… ahhh, dreaming…
so true. rooms that open to nature are amazing!!
This is a lovely cornucopia of living room designs. I didnt think some one could pull of a dark blue couch.
