This post is part of a linky party on kitchen organization that my sweet friend Traci, at Beneath My Heart, is having.

On a large window ledge in our kitchen, we have three in-boxes.
One is mine, one is my husband’s, and one is for very important/time sensitive items {i.e. things that can’t get lost in a pile. like bills}.
This system works beautifully for us. It keeps paperwork off of the table or the countertops, and it keeps items tucked out of view. Yet, everything is still within reach.
We tend to sort through our personal boxes about once every two months… to throw out the items we don’t need, etc.
Truth be told…
I think I may have some things in my box that have been in there for, oh, 8 years or so now.
shhhh.
but it works.

Great idea, girl! I get so overwhelmed with paperwork and stuff like that! It takes up about three drawers in my kitchen and drives me crazy!
Thanks for linking up!
Great idea. We have one basket for everything that needs to be done in the office. I like the idea of 3 (or maybe 4 – adding one for the kiddos). I might need to add that when I do the office re-org.
i love this idea. we have stacked plastic inboxes that are supposed to function like this, but we too only go through them ever couple months [or longer…] so this system is too small & not NEARLY so great looking! i'm going to have to adopt a version of your basket system – thanks!
Great idea-out of site is right up my alley! I'm your newest follower from Beneath My Heart!-Stop by for a visit-Claire
