a room I love :: a keeping room; perfect for lingering

Here is another gorgeous room in FHD’s “ A Room I Love” series….just a simple hello, from me to you, featuring a Room that I Love, and a quick list of why I love it. Do you love it?:

WHAT I LOVE:

the fact that the two wingback chairs boldly divide the room’s space
a place to play chess or place your coffee
it is all about the fireplace
the basket for magazines, encourages me to stay a while
ceiling-to-floor drapes. my fave.
a real fireplace.
plenty of seating; both chairs and small sofas.
the huge art above the fireplace that has vertical lines.
the soft, earthy tones. feels warm to me…

DO YOU LOVE IT?? WHAT DO YOU LOVE? IS THERE A PLACE IN YOUR HOME WHERE YOU CAN GATHER AROUND THE HEARTH OR DIVIDE YOUR SPACE??

Yes, love it! The fabric on those chairs make such a statement, my eye was immediately drawn to them. Beautiful draperies, understated but so elegant!

I love it too. The fabric on the wing back chairs is wonderful and the table with the game board is so homey. I want to spend time in there.
I would not have recognized that the vertical lines of the painting are important, you always see things I do not and that’s one reason I love your posts!!
