I am so excited about my newest series, and I hope you will be too! And with good reason…. we are going to get to work TOGETHER on defining your own personal style!
What:
“Your Style Notebook” will be a series of posts filled with questions that will get you thinking about and narrowing down your own personal style LOVES.
It will help you discern the difference between what you just “like” and what you really “LOVE!” The posts will be in question format, and you will think through the answers and record them in your own beautiful notebook.
The ultimate goal will be to understand what is is you love, and to allow that knowledge to slowly change our home environment and decor, and even our own wardrobes, into surroundings that we ADORE!
When:
My goal is to post once a week, toward the beginning of the week. But as many of you know, I just had a baby {!!!}, and I don’t want to make a promise I can’t keep. So, once a week-ish, on a Monday or Tuesday {or Wednesday !!??}, join me as we work together to define your personal style. To be sure that you don’t miss any of the “Your Style Notebook” posts, sign up for free email updates, and keep your eyes peeled for posts that start out with the words: Your Style Notebook.
Join me in creating your own personal style notebook. Have regular decorating goodness delivered {free!} directly to your inbox.
What next:
1. Get yourself a beautiful notebook! YOUR style notebook.
2. Keep your eyes peeled for posts called, “Your Style Notebook,” via bloglovin, email subscribing, or your favorite reader. As you join in, you will steadily start to discover your OWN personal style!
3. Our first post/ set-of-style-questions will be next week {I want to give you time to get a pretty notebook and writing utensil!}, so get ready!!!!

What a fun idea! I can’t wait. I definitely have been spending a lot of time thinking about style lately, with a newlywed place to decorate (and the first time I haven’t lived with other GIRLS!).

I agree with everyone else: This is a fabulous idea!
I love so many different styles and can see myself living in any of them. I’m hoping this will help narrow it all down. Can’t wait to get started!
Yes yes yes, I’m in! What an excellent idea! Congrats on your sweet little girl. Enjoy every second!
I own two of the notebooks you have pictured,. I guess your fabulous taste has rubbed off on your friend:)!
or vice versa!
I’m in!! As you know, (or maybe don’t have locked into your long term memory ;)), we are in the middle of a first floor remodel….I have the kitchen “finished” (as in everything is bought and decided on, but only some of it is IN…patience is a virtue, right???)…I LOVE everything about my kitchen and feel like I have a pretty good grip, now, on what I LOVE…however, that still change with every room I think….
I have loved the posts you’ve done before on this topic, so I look forward to more of your marvelous help!!
Kiss that baby and know there is no pressure…we’ll all be waiting for your posts as they are available 😉
Perfect timing! I mean PERFECT! Our new house will be ready after the new year so yeah- I will have a blank canvas and I feel like my “likes” and “loves” are all over the place. My color palettes change too much depending on the season change- and I want something for all year, not just when I’m sick of Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer colors. We have picked our finishes, and I tend to lean towards earthy neutrals which at the very least- go with anything. So excited to start this!
And Congratulations on the baby!
Wonderful idea, Darlene! Just pinned this. Let me know if you need a testimonial from a client who struggled with this! 🙂
what a great idea! i love so much- this will help really nail it down.
Darlene, this is a great idea . . . so looking forward to this series. Congratulations on that beautiful baby daughter!

You have me curious to how this will go and what we will be doing so I have to be in.
I am going to create the manliest notebook that a security systems business owner could! COUNT ME IN!
I’m in! And amazed that you’ve got the brainpower left to lead us in such a project! I always thought my brain exited with the placenta after giving birth. Oh, and your wedding pics are gorgeousness- happy anniversary!!
How fun! We are moving after summer and it will be so nice to have this notebook handy when decorating our new place! Thank you so much!
This sounds like fun, I have really never found my style..I know what I like but can’t put it together
I’m in! Looking forward to this I really haven’t found my style and this will help pull it together
