Beautiful and Free.
The best things in life are free. And honestly, the same is true for your space.
If you decorate your home with laughter and the smells of good food and the sounds of pitter-patter feet,
well, then,
you have a beautiful home.
But it never ceases to amaze me how many ways we can add beauty to our home with decorative items that have a zero price tag.
My most recent ‘beautiful and free’ home acquisition came from hijacking an autumn-browning hydrangea bush.
This particular hydrangea bush was chock-full of flowers this summer, and now that Fall is here, it is chock-full of browning hydrangeas. The thing is, hydrangeas that brown on thebush form a beautiful, and lasting, dried flower. And they last for quite a few years if left alone.
When grouped en masse, they look classy but simple. I think they look raw and organic and tea-stained and wonderful with any type of decor.
If you don’t have a hydrangea bush of your own, don’t be afraid to ask a friend {or ask the bed and breakfast that you are visiting, like I did}.
And, If you do have one, let me know.
I would love to come over with my clippers.
Wow! You are so creative!!! I loved meeting you!!! And I loved clicking around!!!
I just did a blog post this summer with hydrangeas here:

But I didn't even think I could still use this bush for a fall centerpiece -thanks for the idea!! I will show my daughter!!
Keep Walking with the King!
