After attending the Relevant Conference last year, I was amazed at how many wonderful, creative women were gathered together under one roof. And what was even more amazing was the instant connection that we all made with one another. It was as if we were cut from the same cloth.
So, when Beth {from the AMAZING blog Home Stories A to Z} and I realized, through a chain of Tweets, that we only lived 30 minutes apart, it seemed only natural that we should get our families together… despite the fact that she and I hardly know each other! And that is how we roll, here in blogland.
{me and Beth, here at Fieldstone Hill}
As far as hardly knowing each other?? That is all over! She is one of ‘my peeps’ now 🙂
And it was such a joy to share a classic summer night with Beth and her boys, complete with crayfish-catching, burger-making, and s’mores-eating.

She wrote the nicest post about our family and our home yesterday. Won’t you show her some love by stopping by and Following along with her fantastic blog?
One of my favorite things about Home Stories A to Z is the awesome Tutorials and Tips link party she hosts every Tuesday. I am so thankful that she connects us with some of the best of the best in DIY blogland. {and goodness knows you will not get all that much DIY here at Fieldstone Hill… decorating, and teaching how to decorate is my joy!}
OH! And speaking of Beth! I hope you will join me and Beth and my friend Traci, and other fun Home Bloggers, as we get together in Atlanta for the very first Haven Conference 2012. Tickets go on sale, next Monday the 15th of August.
Thank you, Beth, for a fun evening of family fun and blog love. When can we do it again?
What do you love about blogland? Will I see you at Haven?

How much fun to meet a bloggy friend in person! I am also a follower of Beth's blog and saw her story on your visit. Looks like everyone had a wonderful time!
How cool is that…to meet in person to give hugs and share smiles.
Darlene this is so great!! I can see the connection you both have and getting the families together, even better!!
Off to visit Beth!
