My Because:
I crush on velvet. Always luxurious. Always easy care. Always comfy. Always textured// The colors. Hello golds, browns, blacks, apple green// art takes center stage// Those lamps. and lampshades.// The stunning black framework on the doors// The symmetry of a flanked fireplace// Floor to ceiling white drapes// I love the use of BOTH black and brown in this space//

I’m not a real fan of velvet furniture but velvet drapes I adore! Love the burnt orange color…so rich; the window is incredible; love the antique arm chair with the lemon throw; and the writing table is perfect. Floor is great too!
I love the look of some velvet clothing and definately enjoy seeing it in century homes, castles and some mansions. On walls and furniture in large homes, it seems to suit but when I think of applying it as a drape in my home, I feel like the house will lean and as for the furniture, I’d feel like the room was bloated. Besides, I’d never be able to keep the dog hair off of it. lol
I did find this pin that is lovely and of course, it’s in a century, mansion. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/319966748500922160/
