31 Days of Favorite Spaces: Day 6
{part of the 31 Days Challenge}
My Favorite Living Room Space:
{via Architectural Digest, an entire tour and ditto here}
My Because:
This is currently my favorite living room space. It is filled with so much that I love. Let’s start with the airy, open feeling provided by the open, thin legs on all of the furniture// I am in love with all of the detailed wall moulding// That bold fuchsia and red floral arrangement is just everything amidst all the soft golds and silvers and pale blues// The power of the huge painting// A classic antique oriental rug grounds the space and offers color centrality// A daybed!//
Now. Your Turn:
In the comments below, leave us all a link to one of YOUR Favorite Living Room Spaces.
How To:
- Head over to your Pinterest boards {or a specific blog post}
- Spend some time narrowing down your ‘loves’ and ‘faves.’
- Pick ONE from your 2-3 favorite living room spaces.

What is it about this space that truly makes me fall in love and sets it apart from other spaces like it?
How does this space make me feel, and how can I bring that feeling into my own home?
What are the little details in this space that truly make it fabulous?

Couldn’t decide! I was proud of myself for finally eliminating Windsor Smith’s pink living room. In the end I just really prefer the look of oriental rugs. And PINK! Walls and furniture 🙂
Nate Berkus can do no wrong. Simple yet interesting.

Yes Please!
I have many that I love. But this is my “Died and Gone to Heaven” living room. Have always loved a dramatic, but a bit rustic California Mediterranean feel with tall ceilings, arched windows. But it must have a piano.

I’m not sure if this is my absolute all time favorite, but right now it’s very appealing to me.
Gold accents. Those fluffy pouf stools! The light fixture subtly viewable in the mirror. Light and bright.

I love to use red as an accent color in my livingroom. I inherited my mother’s Royal Doulton figurines that have red dresses or skirts and I go from there. I love this livingroom; the opulent ottoman/coffee table is sensational. And the drapes are gorgeous!!
OOps. I missed one.
Miles Redd for Oscar de la Renta home.
Amazing art,”traditional” furnishings in unconventional ways.

I can bring colour, flooring, area rug, draperies and throw pillows into my home.
What truly makes me fall in love and sets it apart from other spaces is that it’s cozy, comfy and calming.
This space makes me feel very calm. I can bring that feeling into my home with colour, declutter and rearrangement. Of course, everyone on number one would truly wonderful.
The details that make this space truly fab are the colours, textures and arrangement.
