31 Days of Favorite Spaces: Day 2
{part of the 31 Days Challenge}
A Favorite Kitchen Space:
{via houzz}
My Because:
I have a galley kitchen and this gives me hope for practical solutions// That rug. A well-loved antique from an auction would hide every crumb and spill, but MAKEST the room// The galley ends at a bright window// A built in bar area with mahogony counters// White cabinets, pale floors, glass upper cabinets combat the darkness of your typical galley//
Now. Your Turn:
In the comments below, leave us all a link to one of YOUR Favorite Kitchen Spaces.
How To:
- Head over to your Pinterest boards {or a specific blog post}
- Spend some time narrowing down your ‘loves’ and ‘faves.’
- Pick ONE from your 2-3 favorite kitchen spaces.
- Click on the URL link and click ‘copy.’
- Head back here and share the link in the comments below, along with a few words why this is a fave.
After #31days , we’ll have a full portfolio of our OWN favorite spaces. Let’s allow these spaces to transform our homes! {<- Tweet this}
See you {and your fave spaces} in the comments!!

Love the bright and open feeling with the gorgeous pattern on the tile 🙂
Love the classic clean look of this kitchen with an element of surprise fabric on the stools.
would love to see it! Link up when you get a chance!! 🙂
I too have a galley kitchen and like this design, although I would like to add seating as we are a kitchen eating family…even though the dining room is located right next door.

Love this sea inspired kitchen. The dark floors, the white cabinets and the beadboard. The color green is an added post.

Wow! Right when I saw this, I thought that this is a kitchen I could see in your house! Even the sink is in the right place. Nice!

Love this idea! I had a hard time deciding, but then I realized I’ve pinned this kitchen picture 3 separate times so I guess I must REALLY like it.

I love the contrast of the gray/white {and the idea that those gray cabinets would be kid friend!} The space is bright and welcoming. I think I could wash dishes there every evening with a smile on my face.
I’m doing my 31 days on developmental toys for kids, but am excited to collect 31 home pictures I love.

the secret is in the cabinets! They are custom with a wide trim. YUM!! Can’t wait to see your 30 days of fave room link ups!
This was so hard to do! I decided to go for something that I loved and have a chance to actually have in my house!

This kitchen beat out all the others just because I can see myself in it, like right now! It is so cozy yet the cabinets lighten the small space. The main reason this room is one of my favorite spaces is because of the stove!! I love everything it. 🙂
So vintage! So happy!! Can’t wait to see your next 30 picks!

I love black and white everywhere so this b and w kitchen thrills my heart. I love the orderly simplicity and utter elegance. I would change the microwave hood to a range hood and swap the hanging lights for something more dramatic/artistic since the lines of the kitchen are so clean.Thanks for the challenge!
Yes! Drama!! Can’t wait to see the rest of your 30 favorite spaces!!

The tin ceiling and wood walls are gorgeous and the sink is almost too beautiful to fill with dirty dishes.
OH, this is STUNNING! What great materials and texture! Can’t wait to see what your next 29 links hold!! love it.

Ooh, this was HARD! I know “eclectic” isn’t what I’m supposed to call my taste, but honestly, my kitchens pinterest board waffles from bright colors & glam to rustic and everything in between. This one seemed to include many of the individual things that I would “ditto”, so I chose it:
1) I LOVE checkerboard floors! Painted, stained, whatever. It’s on my someday list 🙂
2)Bright colored lanterns hanging from the ceiling and sconces (no recessed lighting)
3) Cabinets painted something other than white!
4) Real furniture incorporated into the room (the hutch and the comfy chair by the fireplace).
What an amazing space! And you know I am a softie for checkerboard floors 😉
I LOVE the architecture. SO. GOOD.
Can’t wait to see what you link to on the rest of the 30 favorite spaces posts!!!
The picture you posted is beautiful. The picture I am sharing is one with some romantic touches in the woodwork as well as a more antique look. I love the color scheme although darker counters would be pretty too. Hope you enjoy it too! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/48765608437458610/
I can tell you are a romantic!! Thanks for sharing this french influenced space. I can’t wait to see the rest of the rooms you share!

I adore vintage and kitsch. My friend has one of the new “old” fridges in pink!

Darlene, I love the way the cupboards go from the counters to the ceiling in your pin, so I pinned it. I also pinned one of the other pins that showed those most wonderful vintage style island. Here’s my choice because I love the ceilings and the rest is really pretty cool.
